In Wisconsin, is it illegal to have those bee “boxes” for beekeeping on your property? Specifically on 2-3 acres of land in a residential area?

    I’m in California so I don’t know the laws there. I have neighbors in a residential area with bee hives, doesn’t seem to be a problem.

    Call your local Dept of Agriculture for local regulations.

    Unless it would be restricted in your area I don’t see why it would be illegal. I work with a woman who’s husband has an acre of bee boxes. He sells the honey
